It is that time of year when the summer sales are in.

This is what I got at Zara's summer sale

One cropped trench coat- perfect for summer days where it's too warm from a jumper, but feel naked in just a top. This is less formal than a long coat and is suitable for petite and short people to help them not drain themselves in fabric. This was in size 13-14-year-olds in the kid's section, which is perfect for us petite girls. Please, no VAT; it's a bonus. Plus, it has ample pockets for your lipgloss phone and wallet. This is perfect if you do not feel comfortable in a full-blown trench, do not want to splash out, and do not like the fit. This is also a perfect one for city breaks. It is thin and easy to pack, but its neutral colour means it goes with everything. It is lightweight for those warm, windy days on the pier.

Jeans are a classic. Of course, I got the cropped jeans to find me. I'm a non-cropped short queen over here. Perfect to make your waist small and your bum peachy. It even came with a belt. These are flared at the end, creating a perfect illusion of long lets

I bought these perfect ballet flats that Mary Jane is in now. Is there any excuse for a new pair of shoes that are perfect for summer days and formal events? The size was perfect, but the checking in the Zara children's shoe section did not look right before they put my shoes in the box. They gave me two right-foot shoes. So, if someone out there has two left-foot shoes, sorry, maybe we should exchange them.

Contrast striped shirts with two types of printed stripes on the shirt. This is a modern, funky twist on the pinstriped shirt. I loved it as it was original and different. I cannot say one of a kind, but the positioning of the buttons makes me feel like a chief in a Michelin-star restaurant. The perfect blue shirt can be dressed up and down. The perfect thing about brands like Zara, M&S and Mango, to name a few, is that children's sizes run to older ages, so we women can fit into them too. How are clothes a necessity for children and not for adults? They are just asking us to walk around naked, breaking laws.

Striped knit sweater ecru/navy- this striped ribbed textured jumper is like the one below. I had something I had been looking for for a while but could not find one I liked. This has a ¾ zip at the top, so there are no makeup marks. It has a floppy overcollar to bring definition to the look. This is a perfect nip for the shop's jumper when you have gym clothes under. To look more formal, dress it up with suit trousers, jeans, or a blazer or jacket on top.

 Knit polo sweater ecru. This soft jumper is also lightweight, perfect for those summer evenings down the pub. It is stretchy, too, not too tight. Though the colour is not the most practical, it is chic and Scandinavian music and the perfect staple to have a no-tough outfit with some boots or trainers and jeans, perfect for those days when you are in a rush or do not have the brain capacity to think of an outfit in your head.

The cropped wool blend coat navy blend has a crushed velvet texture, and some would find the fabric irritating to the skin; however, there is another arm space to wear a jumper. Maybe the one I spoke about above. This is a perfect formal jacket, which is not a suit jacket. Being navy, it goes with everything, perfect for autumn when a coat is too much, and it is usually chic enough for your pavement catwalk.
